Blackbutt Reserve

Blackbutt Reserve is a 182 hectare nature reserve in Newcastle, offering scenic trails, native wildlife exhibits, playgrounds and recreation facilities.

Wildlife Exhibits open 10am to 5pm every day (closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and before 1pm ANZAC Day).

Picnic and recreation facilities open from 7am until 7pm.

Entry is FREE. Car parks located at Carnley Ave and Richley Reserve attract a fee.
